Periods of showers and storms continue through tonight, Friday, and the remainder of the weekend. Small hail and pockets of locally heavy rain are possible through tonight and early Friday. While a marginally severe storm or two cannot be ruled out in advance, the main severe weather threat comes late Friday afternoon and Friday evening as strong storms track in from northeast Nebraska. While large hail is the main threat with the strongest storms, damaging wind gusts and tornadoes remain possible especially south of the Interstate 90 corridor. Be prepared to alter plans and/or take shelter if severe weather threatens your area Friday afternoon and night.
