Rain continues this morning with the highest coverage/amounts across northern and southern areas with lighter amounts through portions of central Iowa. A few thunderstorms remain possible at times across southern Iowa but the chances for severe weather are low. Rain showers (or thunderstorms south) gradually end northwest to southeast through the afternoon hours. Temperatures will remain cooler Friday through the weekend with highs in/near the 50s and morning lows in the upper 20s or 30s which may lead to some frost/freeze concerns for any susceptible plants. Gusty winds also continue into Saturday with the strongest winds expected on Friday as gusts reach up to 40 mph in northern Iowa.
